One of the many benefits of PWN membership is the opportunity to join a Power Group—a smaller, more intimate setting designed to foster meaningful connections and support your personal and professional growth. These groups provide a space to build strong relationships, exchange ideas, and collaborate with like-minded women, creating opportunities for both business growth and genuine connection within the organization.

PWN Power Groups Policies & Guidelines

Membership in a Power Group is ideal for PWN members who are committed to growing their business, strengthening meaningful connections, and expanding their professional network.

Power Groups are designed to foster collaboration, personal and professional development, and the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and support. In a non-competing environment, members build trusted relationships that naturally lead to referrals, business opportunities, and increased visibility.

Through consistent engagement, members experience both business growth and deeper connections, creating a strong foundation for long-term success.

The following are Policies each PWN Power is expected to follow:

  • All Power Group Members must a be current dues paying PWN members
  • Team meeting times (not to exceed 90 minutes) and location are to be determined by each Power Group.
  • PWN programs and luncheons will be presented to Power Groups at every meeting.
  • All printed materials representing or characterizing PWN, (newspaper, pamphlets, information slips, etc.) must be approved by the PWN Board of Directors. Use of the PWN logo is the exclusive right of the Board of Directors.
  • One profession or service is to be represented in each power group.
  • PWN members are only permitted to be in one PWN Power group.
  • PWN members and potential PWN members may visit any Power Group twice before joining.
  • Guests (and substitutes) conflicting with exclusive category members may be observers only and those not conflicting may share.
  • Facilitators will be informed of leadership training, when it is available.
  • Facilitators are selected by their Power Group and serves a term of 6 months to 2 years. (Exceptions are to be approved by the PWN Board of Directors.)
  • Facilitators are responsible for attendance monitoring, team e-mails and designating a co-facilitator.
  • If the member has a habitual attendance problem, she will be asked to leave the group.
  • All members are expected to make the commitment to attend regularly and miss no more than 2 meetings every 3 months.
  • If a member is unable to attend her Power Team meeting, she should make an attempt to find a substitute in her absence.

New Power Groups

  • In order to start a new power team, the individual must have been a PWN member for one year.
  • New PWN Power Teams must be approved by PWN Board of Directors.

Suggested Policies to be determined by each Power Groups

Each team has the option to:

  • Track attendance
  • Give an infomercial about their business – Including 10 minute presentations
  • Limit the size of the team
