Bio for MaKenna Wood
MaKenna joined the Proximo team in May 2017 as a student at VCU, bringing her sense of humor to the online world as she helped our social media team develop an audience for clients. MaKenna took over as Social Media Strategist in May 2018 after graduating from VCU with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
In May 2019, MaKenna moved into a full time role with Proximo as the Project Manager. Since then, she has continued to work on her marketing skills, expanding her knowledge of the digital marketing landscape and developing a knack for strategy. She currently serves as the business's Chief Marketing Officer, executing the vision and strategy for our clients marketing efforts.
She is a member of the Peninsula Women’s Network, and serves marketing roles across several nonprofit events, including Event Organizer of Proximo’s annual CreateAthon, Head of Marketing of Relay for Life’s annual Fight Cancer Fest, and Social Media Marketing Specialist for the March of Dimes annual Williamsburg Chef’s Auction.
