Suzanne BrownVirginia Media

Topic: Be Genuine; Network

Suzanne Brown currently works as a Media Sales Representative at Virginia Media, best known for publishing the Daily Press, The Virginian-Pilot & Inside Business. Born and raised in Newport News, Virginia she returned to Hampton Roads after graduating from Virginia Tech with her Bachelor's in Communication. Over the past ten years of her career, she has covered multiple industries in different marketing and communications roles including non-profit, retail, events, and B2C. Her proudest accomplishment is marrying her husband and becoming a bonus mom to a spicy seven-year-old named Katie. They currently live in Virginia Beach with their recently rescued covid dog; 13-year-old jack russell.


Felicia Ford

Topic: Growth Strategy: pivoting to a hybrid model for small businesses and nonprofits.  User Experience 2021 - what leading looks like with Clubhouse, Conversations and Client engagement.

Felicia Ford is The Growth Strategist for Creatives, Leaders, and Change-Makers. She is a catalyst, philanthropist, and advocate. Felicia cultivates a multi-platform experience for busy creatives, leaders, and change-makers to excel in life + work rooted in positive psychology and habit.

Felicia believes that the intersection of life and work or work and life should exist as an experience where we find joy in the creation and the delivery. Her purpose is to help others create experiences, so they can fully show up in all of their glory...And make others FEEL it.

As a Growth Strategist, she develops customized Growth Plans for Creatives, Leaders, and Change-Makers helping them to deepen their impact, extract their ideas to form a strategy to connect with their audiences and to transform their lives and work experiences.

She is the Executive Director of a private philanthropic foundation and an Agency Fellow with the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University.

Stephanie R. HeinatzFounder and Managing Partner of Consociate

Topic: Focus on intersection of social and earned media, as well as diversity of marketing channels, to include innovative ones that have emerged from the pandemic and are here to stay.

Cutting her teeth as a newspaper journalist and working on assignments from her own hometown, to the remote areas of East Africa to war-torn Iraq, Stephanie believed one thing – stories are the most powerful way to reach people and inspire change. She brings that same strategy to Consociate Media, where she specializes in working with business owners, legislative initiatives, economic development programs, non-profit organizations, tourism efforts and individuals to strategically plan and execute storytelling across a wide range of new and traditional media.


Cheryl TanCheryl Tan Media

Topic: Win Clients With Video

Cheryl Tan believes everyone has a story to tell. Her mission is to help entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations and corporations more effectively tell those stories on video. She is a speaker, a media trainer and the host of the STANDOUT podcast.

Prior to starting her company in 2014, Cheryl was a longtime broadcast journalist, working for TV stations in Georgia and Virginia. You may remember her during her time on WAVY TV 10’s morning show. She currently hosts Connect on WVEC-TV. In her 20-year career in television news, she had the honor of telling thousands of stories for a TV audience. Now she shares the skills she learned in the newsroom to help businesses and organizations around the country create their own pieces of valuable video content.

Cheryl is the creator of Master Video Today, a coaching and mentoring community specifically tailored to entrepreneurs and experts who want to create a greater impact in the world. Her system eliminates stress, saves time and helps students develop the skills to use video to reach a bigger audience. She and her husband have three sons and live in Virginia Beach.


Courtney RileyProximo Marketing Strategies

Topic: Post pandemic Strategy; What goes into a strategy; How often strategy should be redeveloped; Post pandemic: marketing trends that matter 

Courtney Riley is the owner of Proximo Marketing Strategies, an international digital marketing firm based out of Yorktown, Virginia. Courtney also works as adjunct faculty at Thomas Nelson Community College, educating students on best practices for marketing in the 21st century.

In early 2017, Courtney helped to launch her second company, Cowork Gloucester VA, a business incubator created for entrepreneurs, startups and small businesses to work together in an environment that fosters community, productivity and creativity. Cowork members benefit from mentorship, education and exclusive resources, geared toward business growth.
